Getachew Yemane
Senior Program Manager and Executive Leadership Committee Member
Getachew Yemane is an accomplished nonprofit and operational leader with more than 35 years of executive and management experience spanning governmental and nongovernmental organizations, nonprofit institutions, banking, finance, and healthcare. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held key leadership positions, including Project Planning Officer, Area Director, and Executive Director, where he successfully led organizational development initiatives, managed large-scale programs, and strengthened institutional effectiveness.
Getachew holds a Bachelor of Health Administration (BHA) and a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) with a focus on leadership, innovation, and organizational excellence in healthcare. His commitment to lifelong learning reflects his passion for advancing effective leadership and improving healthcare systems.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Getachew has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to community service and global health initiatives. He has supported humanitarian and community outreach efforts through organizations such as Rotary International, contributing to polio eradication campaigns, sustainable development programs, and public health initiatives in Ethiopia.
Currently, Getachew serves within the U.S. healthcare system, supporting Medicare and Medicaid programs to improve healthcare access and quality of care. He also serves as the Senior Program Manager for the Mutual Assistance Association for the Ethiopian Community (MAAEC), where he provides leadership in developing and overseeing programs and services that enhance the quality of life for senior community members. Through strategic planning, program coordination, and community partnerships, he is dedicated to ensuring that older adults receive meaningful support and access to essential resources.
A resident of Dallas County for more than 20 years, Getachew lives with his wife and two sons. He remains deeply committed to servant leadership, community empowerment, healthcare advancement, and improving the well-being of the Ethiopian-American community throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

ጌታቸው የማነ በመንግስታዊና መንግስታዊ ባልሆኑ ተቋማት፣ በትርፍ አልባ ድርጅቶች፣ በባንክና ፋይናንስ ዘርፍ እንዲሁም በጤና አገልግሎት ዘርፍ ከ35 ዓመታት በላይ የሥራ አመራርና የአስተዳደር ልምድ ያላቸው የተከበሩ ባለሙያ ናቸው። በሙያ ዘመናቸው የፕሮጀክት ዕቅድ ኦፊሰር፣ የክልል ዳይሬክተር እና ዋና ሥራ አስፈጻሚ (Executive Director) በመሆን በልማት ፕሮግራሞች እቅድ፣ አመራርና አስተዳደር ላይ በመስራት የተቋማትን አቅምና ውጤታማነት በማጠናከር ጉልህ አስተዋፅኦ አበርክተዋል።
ጌታቸው በጤና አስተዳደር (Bachelor of Health Administration – BHA) የመጀመሪያ ዲግሪ እና በቢዝነስ አናሊቲክስ (Master of Science in Business Analytics – MSBA) የማስተርስ ዲግሪ ያላቸው ሲሆን፣ በአሁኑ ጊዜ በጤና አስተዳደር (Doctor of Health Administration – DHA) የዶክትሬት ትምህርት በመከታተል በጤና ዘርፍ አመራር፣ ፈጠራ እና የተቋማት ልማት ላይ ጥናት እያካሄዱ ነው።
ከሙያዊ ስኬቶቻቸው ባሻገር፣ ጌታቸው ለማኅበረሰብ አገልግሎትና ለዓለም አቀፍ የጤና ተነሳሽነቶች ጥልቅ ቁርጠኝነት ያላቸው መሪ ናቸው። ከRotary International ጋር በመተባበር በኢትዮጵያ የፖሊዮ ማጥፋት፣ ዘላቂ ልማት እና የማኅበረሰብ ጤና ማሻሻያ ፕሮግራሞችን በመደገፍ ጉልህ አስተዋፅኦ አበርክተዋል።
በአሁኑ ጊዜ በአሜሪካ የጤና ሥርዓት ውስጥ የMedicare እና Medicaid ፕሮግራሞችን በመደገፍ የጤና አገልግሎትን ተደራሽነትና ጥራት ለማሻሻል ይሰራሉ። በተጨማሪም በMutual Assistance Association for the Ethiopian Community (MAAEC) የአረጋውያን ፕሮግራም ኃላፊ በመሆን ለአረጋውያን የሚሰጡ ፕሮግራሞችንና አገልግሎቶችን በማቀድ፣ በማስተባበርና በመምራት ጠቃሚ ሚና ይጫወታሉ። በስትራቴጂካዊ እቅድ፣ በፕሮግራም አስተዳደር እና በማኅበረሰብ አጋርነት አማካይነት አረጋውያን ተገቢውን ድጋፍና አስፈላጊ አገልግሎት እንዲያገኙ በትጋት ይሰራሉ።
ጌታቸው ከ20 ዓመታት በላይ ከባለቤታቸውና ከሁለት ወንድ ልጆቻቸው ጋር በዳላስ ካውንቲ ኖረዋል። ለማኅበረሰብ አገልግሎት፣ ለጤና አገልግሎት ማሻሻል፣ ለተቋማት እድገት እና ለኢትዮጵያውያን ማኅበረሰብ ደህንነት ያላቸው ቁርጠኝነት ዛሬም በተግባር ቀጥሏል።
